Only nef files are imported

I noticed problem as in subject.
When downloading images from card, only nef files are imported, jpg files are ignored. Bug, or some secret filter?

  Do you see the jpgs in the import window (assuming you view the window) before import?
  
  There is a Global Filter (View > Global Filters > Always Hide jpgs) that means they are no shown in the Import file browser window.
  
  If you see then there but they are not imported then I'm not sure what you have going on. You can disable jpg editing in the Preferences but they are then still visible in the Import Browser and, as far as I recall, will be imported if selected. Perhaps something to try?
