I cannot confirm that. I can, like explained in the video (), "copy" images into my albums, without physically moving them.

Could you please share the steps you took to create your catalog and the steps to move the pictures to the albums?

When you work with catalogs in CO7, the first step is to import the image into the catalog. You can select Current Location in the import dialog, to create a reference only in the catalog and not import the image file physically into the catalog.

Next, you can place your images in albums or smart albums. An image in an album is a virtual link within the catalog itself, and has no connection to the physical image. Even more, in case the referenced images are on a shared volume or network disk, and it is disconnected from the computer (a.k.a. offline images), you can still manage your images in the catalog and put them into albums.
