Wheres my white out tool in C1 from LR?
So, I'm starting to love C1 7 as I've always hated P/S.
Thanks for the replies re tethered shooting (the answer is setting the UBS in the shooting memory to the correct setting) and that I ought to have waited for an update before thinking that the Nikon D610 would be supported.
Now I have another numpty question. I'm photographing wine bottles. To get the background white in LR I go to Develop, use an Adjustment Brush, enable Auto Mask and carefully paint away. How can I do this in C1? If you reply, assume your talking to an idiot 😕 Thanks

There will be others who know more, but i would say: it's essentially the same!
Also, in CO7, create a new layer and brush away. Then raise exposure, or change levels, etc.
Another way is to do this while shooting, but the possibility in CO is there.0 -
I think it's actually easier in C1 than in LR. I like the way that you can see the local adjustment layers you create in C1, name them ("white background", "gradient in sky" etc) and easily see which layer you are working on. When I have tried LR, I found it much harder to see which local adjustment I was working on, display or not display the masks, turn on or off each local adjustment to see what the effect is, etc. I don't have extensive experience of LR, but it seemed to me that the way local adjustments work in C1 is way better and easier to use.
