    Jochen,
    No need to use sessions, just copy the Catalog over to the other machine and use the "Locate" tool to connect it to the RAW files.

    Clear, that's simple 😉
    On both machines my catalog have the same name.
    So I will change the name in finder and use import catalog and delete the not nessessary groups.

    @Drew

    Your suggestion don't work.

    My workflow.
    a) Copy catalog_1 from MBP to iMac on desktop
    b) Change the name from catalog_1 to catalog_2.( The name of master catalog on iMac is catalog_1)
    c) Open C1-7 on iMac and catalog_1 is open.
    d) Carry out Menu > File > catalog import > Other catalog
    e) Finder open and I see catalog_2

    But the name of catalog_2 is grey.
    I cannot import this catalog in master catalog.

    My mistake?
    Or misunderstanding?

    Those steps are not necessary. Simply open the Catalog on your iMac after moving it from the MacBook Pro.
    No need to "import", simply open it.

    @Drews, thanks.
    Then there is a misunderstanding.

    I can do this, this works well.
    My wish was to import Projects / Groups / pictures from a catalog xyz in a master catalog.
    Is this possible?

    Regards

    You can use File>Import Catalog>Capture One Catalog... if that's what you mean.

    Have the same issue @Spassig and @Drew.

    I want to have the images from a catalog on my MBP in a catalog on my iMac. I don't want 2 different catalogs.

    When you use the [ Menu > File > catalog import > Other catalog ] function the MBP catalog that I wish to import into the iMac catalog is greyed out and it does not allow you to import.

    Thanks for your help.
