MP1 first try, ugh
My first try was just like using EM2 which was a nightmare.
In this case, after importing one modest folder of images
successfully, nothing works at all. Cannot open anything.
Waiting to hear from tech support on this one, cuz they put
me on MP1 cuz my host of ME2 complaints was attributed to
ME2 being unsupported for MacOSX.6.7.

Welcome to the Finished product.. err beta... err alpha. 😁
All kidding aside, I do hope your issue is resolved - I'm still waiting for a fix so I can import a single image to test out the software - crashes after trying to add a single JPG.0 -
My first round was not successful either. I hope when the next update is available, we will have another 30 days for evaluation. As bad as the crash I had, I will really need to do some more playing with it before I shell out any money.
I found that the only way I could import my library was year by year without it crashing, a slow process. After a couple of days I had about 80,000 photos cataloged. On the last import, I started getting dialog boxes that said I was out of memory and to restart the application. It so lockup up my computer that I had to do a hard reboot. After that MP required the catalog to be repaired but only showed about half of what I had imported. It also said that some of the EXIF data may have been corrupted and I should go through all my photos one by one...right!
I will give it a try when the next updated shows up...assuming I can get an extension on the trial.
By the way, I love C1 and have been using it for years. If it wasn't for that I would not even give MP another chance.

alas, this seems majorly not ready in many regards. I've never been a Phase One customer, but I was confident they were a top notch organization and this would be a top notch product, especially since iView was such a good product. But it all plays out like they gave this project to the stock room boy who was a (microsoft) programmer wannabe, and maybe he could "cut his teeth" on MP1... in his spare time! Mine is still in support. I hope there is a final answer soon, so I dont import 1000's and then have to start over too.
It's another bad sign when they tell you "try this...", but you already did. Been quite time consuming here too.0 -
19 days later and support has dropped out of trying... 0 -
I've moved on... will revisit in a few months to see if this product is improved... 0 -
still holding out hope.. but certainly not using the product as it currently stands 0
