    Hello Graham,

Are you using "Export: Variant" or Processing with the output being a 16bit TIFF?

I am trying to export from CO1 v. 7.1.2 to a 16 bit tiff to print using imagenest.

The disable sharpening button is unticked, but the TIFF has none of the clarity adjustments seen on the print made directly from CO1.

The clarity adjustments were made on a layer, and the areas without clarity seem equally sharp. The area with clarity, an expanse of sea looks unsharpened in the TIFF print and possibly over sharpened in the CO1 print.

Have I missed some crucial setting somewhere for the TIFF export.

    Many thanks,

    Graham

Before proceeding, please make sure to update to CO 7.1.3, which was released yesterday.

I have tried both, but mainly processing with 16 bit TIFF output, as I hadn't initially found the export variant route, which I then tried.

I couldn't work out the difference. All the colour adjustments are exporting fine, with either method. I also tried printing with Lightroom (I am just trialling Imagenest) to see if it was an Imagenest thing, but same issue with Lightroom.

    Thanks,

    Graham

Thanks, must have just missed this as I checked yesterday for updates, downloading it now.

    Thanks,

I have now updated to 7.1.3.

Before I try again, is there an obvious way to do this , process tab or export variant.

    Thanks,

    Graham

Both should work. Now, you say print, so assume you have printed it through CO?

Not sure what I can add to my first email, but I haven't printed the TIFF through CO, if that is what you mean. I have only printed directly from CO, not via a TIFF.

I have only used the TIFF to print using Imagenest and Lightroom.

So I am comparing a print made directly from CO, which is fine, with prints made from the CO exported TIFF using Imagenest and lightroom, which do not show the clarity effects.

    Thanks,

    Graham

    Hello both,

This now seems to be working, I presume there must have been something in the update that either fixed a bug, or reset something I had set up wrong.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers,

We have some pre-printing sharpening, be sure to check that when you print.

The sharpness printing directly from CO seems good, but obviously the pre-print sharpness won't affect the TIFF, so this could have affected the comparisons.

    Thanks,

    Graham
