Cs2 running slow.
Hi hope someone can advise me on this.
I'm new to C1 (LE) and so far like it apart from........after I have transferred a RAW file into CS2 I can work for a short time but then CS2 starts to run slow.
When I say run slow I mean when I say start a new layer for example any edit box ghosts onto the screen painfully slow.
This doesn't happen with any other RAW converter I use it justs appears to be with RAW files I have imported in from C1
PC spec;
AMD 64 3700
2G RAM.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have a suggestion, while CS2 is open open up the task manager and click the process tab, watch the GDI objects number as you work in photoshop, does it start climbing? Also have you experienced menus dissapearing or anything like that? Let me know and I may have a solution. 0 -

Hi,
I have opened the Task Manager > Process Tab but no GDI objects are shown.
Not had any menus dissapearing they just load slowly (sort of ghost onto the screen) after a short time editing in CS2.0 -
in the task manager goto: view> slsect colums and check the box "GDI icons" 0 -
😊 R thank you I can see it now.
Yes the GDI does move up a little in Photoshop.0 -
if it keeps climbing when it his about 100,000 all your menus should dissappear. There is a memory leak in CS2, for me the problem was my cursor. Is your brush tip cursor set to precise? Try changing it to fullsize brush and see if that makes a difference. 0 -
Thanks I will take a look and see if it helps.
Appreciate the help 😊
EDIT; Painting cursor is set at 'Normal Brush Tip'0 -
have you tried the adobe forums yet? They delt with this problem indepth over there. and may have found other sources of the leak. 0 -

No I just thought it was a problem with C1 as I haven't experienced this before with any other RAW editor.0
