Any thoughts or has anyone seen anything like this before?

    Thoughts?
Sorry to see you having to respond to yourself... so, a response to help you:-)

    Like this before?
Yes (ish). Though I don't have PS.
Not sure of the exact precipitating circumstance(s) and, to be fair, I only picked up my C1 license very recently. And I'm not using catalogues yet just some very early test sessions.

My trusty renderer Silkypix shows new output files after only a blink or two eg the files appear elsewhere on the OS. Ditto when Silkypix appropriately deletes. I still have to determine more succinctly but C1 output does NOT always 'show up' (until I press Ctrl-R refresh in annoyance or impatience). Haven't pinned it down yet as I have been concentrating on trying to workaround the how of C1 messing up the actual sRGB output content as opposed to the why of the file not always automagically appearing in the designated target area.

Similarly, after deleting a bunch of output files from within C1, the OS's File Explorer STILL shows these same files ...until the (now usual) annoyed/impatient 'refresh'. The files should've been cleared off the OS's display but they remain - despite being completely unavailable when so attempted.

Shouldn't happen but, yes, it does. Hence the above 'ish' flavoured answer;~) So, possibly allied to your actual OP.

    Ok,
If you are doing a "Edit With..." and exporting as JPEG, you should see this show up, in CO browser.

But if you then save the image as a TIFF in PS, even to the same directory CO will not pick this up, it only knows about the JPEG you saved it as.

WHY would you export as JPEG, then do editing in PS, then save out as TIFF? (You are editing a lossy file in PS, and saving it out as a non-lossy file, you already killed the reason for the TIFF.)

Try this, do an "Edit with..." and export as TIFF, you should see the file show up in the browser, now if you do changes to the file with PS, and flatten the image then save, any changes should also show up. (Also make sure you do not have any additional layers.)

Now, this assumes you are using Catalogs, not Sessions.

Do not save the processed image as a different file in PS. Capture One does not monitor the folder, it only monitors the image file and any changes to do for updating the preview.
