C1 for Sony
Hi,
I have been using C1 for my 2 Phase Backs for several years, without having to pay for it.My question is "which i'm sure has been asked on the forums before, sorry". I have recently bought a Sony A system,do I purchase C1 for Sony @50euro,or the pro version? Also will the DB version I have been using change after applying KEY/SERIAL for sony cameras.
Many Thanks

My understanding is that as a Sony owner you should have the Express version for free. For €50 you can upgrade to COPro (Sony) which only allows you to edit Sony raw files. For €269 you can upgrade to the full Pro version that allows edits to all raw files (that PhaseOne support). Sorry can't help with the last question. 0 -
Pro (for Sony) has support for Sony cameras as well as supported digital backs. The DB version will "change" as Capture One can only be set to run in one of the four modes (DB, Express (for Sony), Pro (for Sony) and Pro). However, once going from DB to Pro (for Sony), your sessions/catalogs, images, and adjustments will be unaffected. If you are only working with Sony and Phase One files, you will be fine with the Pro (for Sony) license. 0
