SLOW IMPORT AND HANGING IMAGES
To ANY AND ALL...
Working in a photo studio, images being shot tethered to Capture ONE will be shot but nothing will come in, after unattaching and re-attaching cord to camera it seems to clear out the pending photo and then will work for a few more until it happens again. Most recently that has just kind of stopped happening and now the images are just importing incredibly slowly, but reliably. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Running CANON 5D Markii 6.3.3 to an iMAC. Tried switching computers, cords and cameras but to no avail. Can't find the common thread. HELP!

Can you try a powered USB cord? Typically the iMac does not provide sufficient power for tethering to Capture One. 0 -
Can you elaborate on this. Any information would be greatly appreciated. 0 -
The issue seems to be solved. It appears that having an extension to the cord to the camera was too much distance for the iMAC to transfer across. After getting rid of the extension it is working much faster. 0 -
Thanks for the feedback. We basically are on the same page: power or the lack of it. The newer Macs have limited the power on the USB port and a longer cable may kill a stable connection. A powered hub or cable may help, as does a shorter cable. 0
