Capture One Pro on a MacBook Air
...Anyone? I'm currently editing on a late 2012 MacBook Pro and COP is working reasonably well. My volumes in a typical editing session are fairly low (i.e. no huge batch edits) and photography is a hobby for me, meaning I'm not trying to monetise every minute I spend waiting for preview to render. The 2018 Airs have a decent i5 processor and I'd be connecting it to a 27" 4k monitor so screen size is not an issue. But paper specs are one thing, actual experience is another. So is anyone comfortably getting by with an Air?

Driving a 27" 4k display with the iGPU of the Air's i5 would be pushing it, to say the least. You would experience slow preview rendering, no boost from OpenCL, and likely overall sluggishness as Capture One attempts to render a preview that would fit your 4k screen. 0 -
I've briefly used CO12 on the built in monitor and the performance was OK. I guess for the external monitor, I'd look for external GPU's. 0
