Copy Apply Tool: How does this work?
I thought the idea of this tool was to select a file w/ that had specific attributes, click the double headed arrow to copy and then select another file and click the tool button again to paste. But there are not results. I am assuming I am doing something incorrectly. The two arrows, copy and then paste works just fine.
Feature request- Add two additional buttons in the Copy Apply Tool palette, "Select All" and "Select None". Very inefficient to have to select each box or deselect. C1 is by far the best program for the pixel manipulation, but they should study Lightroom for efficiency, LR3 is extremely efficient with their tools.

You have to have all the files selected. Then you click the double-headed-arrow and Apply. It will immediately copy the adjustments to all selected images. Otherwise you should use the single headed arrow at the top to apply adjustments, which are copied to clipboard.
I don't see why Select All button is needed. Everything is selected by default. Select None has more value, but if you want only a few adjustments to be copied it is faster to do them one-by-one.0 -
Thank you Alxy, perfect.
The reason for the Select All or Select None is b/c it saves from having to individually selecting or deselecting each group.0 -
I might be missing something here. 1st, you can select or deselect all by using (on a Mac) "Cmd A" to select and "shift Cmd A" to deselect your images. 2nd, when applying your adjustments hold down the "shift key" + the double arrow or single arrow buttons to apply the changes immediately. Works very fast. I only single click a double arrow button to copy a specific item(s) from a tool; and then hit shift key + the dbl arrow key to apply those specific items.
I would like to have a "select all" / "deselect all" buttons on the Adjustment Clipboard. If you want to apply only certain items, you must individually deselect each item. A "deselect all" button would clear he clipboard and you can then select only those items you want to apply, saving you time and the chance of leaving an unwanted item check by mistake.0 -
I agre with Doug. I deselect all button, but also I find it weird that when you have a group of images selected and you go to select another image they are all still selected. It's more intuitive to select one image thus deselecting all of the previous selections. Like any other program on the osx platform.
Guess I will just have to get used to it.0 -
trying to clear crops of a whole bunch of files is very buggy. not always, but usually, i have to clear a crop with the crop tool on a single image, then apply that crop to all. the reset all should do it more easily IMO 0 -

Yes, and it should that way with your system as it does on mine. Select multiple images, enable Edit All Selected toggle and go to the Crop tool. In the Crop tool's title bar click on the reset arrow (curved arrow). This will reset that tool for all selected variants.0 -
@Jim- To be clear. It sounds like you are referring to selecting multiple files and then applying changes to these files. What I am referring to is selecting the "Copy / Apply" Tool that is loaded in the toolbar from the customize toolbar palette.
My issue is that when selecting this tool, each and every time this tool is selected the attributes from the current file are loaded. This feature is great, however, it is also inefficient if it can only be used in this state. Certain items need to be deselected each time, e.g. Composition. I do like LightRoom's approach that has two buttons, select all, deselect all and then you can customize it from there and it remembers the last settings. Ideally if this approach along w/ C1's of the current file settings as different options would be the most efficient.0 -

If I understand the post above and similar in this thread correctly you are referring to a feature the Capture One has incorporated since version 4 but scarcely documented. The Adjustments Clipboard is configurable regarding 'Autoselect Adjusted' and easy to select ALL or NONE of the adjustments items. How? Open the clipboard's menu. I attach a screenshot.

totally mr Paul- it should. and it does on occasion. but unfortunately, what happens for me usually is that hitting 'reset' button with 'edit all selected' toggled does not actually reset them. what does work is manually clearing a crop on a single image and then applying that crop to all. which is fine, i mean job gets done but ya know it's those little repeated tasks which are done on set 100 times a day that can start to add up and get annoying.
