Looks good, but issue is sidecar files???

I've started importing about 125,000 files... so far so good, it recognizes a couple of file formats that ME2 would not and that saves me converting to DNG for those cameras (Leica x2 and fuji X100).

But I am really dismayed to learn this app will use sidecar files... that was one of the reasons I chose Photo Mechanic to do all my keywording and ME2 didn't mess up my archives by adding all the extra garbage.

I I only import files and use the catalog to search, am I safe to assume there won't be any sidecar file created?

It's a minor issue, but would add my vote to ability to change the background from black (I like white and many don't, so I would hope it will become a select color option). It if DOES stay black, please make the lower right corner spinning wheel a color I can see

  You will only create side car file if you use the Sync Annotations command, otherwise all info will stop in the MP1 database without creating a side car file.
