I have just the same experience in 5.0.1.
This did not happen to me in 5.0.
    Tried to reinstall 5.0.
But same result. Images totaly disorganized.

In adition my Canon 1ds MarkII-files apear in a smaler preview size than the full preview-frame. About 60% of the window-size...

Check the preview size preference setting in your laptop and desktop (assuming you transfer from laptop to desktop). Maybe you reduced it. And try to delete the cache files on the desktop computer with the reduced preview and let CO5 generates them on that system again.

I have tried trashing the proxy files and that did not help.

I also saw this in C1 Pro 5.0.1 after a restart, most were sorted correctly but maybe 3 out of 25 or so were out of order.

    Ok,
I just went back to the original session on my laptop where I captured it.
I have opened up Capture One 5.01 and the images are all scrambled there too. This is really making it hard to work with. I can't seem to figure out how to have them resorted in name order again. It seems all you have to do is quit the application and restart to have this happen.

Ok now the session won't open at all it keeps crashing when trying to open it. I have had to edit in photoshop bridge. This is the first important job I have tried to use with the new version. I may go back to 3.7 again for now.

I created a new session and reimported the captures to it. It works fine now I have just lost all of my adjustments. I hope some fix will be found for this. I am starting to like V5 and it does some cool things. It needs to be more reliable though.

    Hi David5
This was the solution for me to.
Just making a new session and importing the RAW-files only.
    Now things works fine.
Preview from Canon 1ds MarkII showing in right size aswell.

Except, for me, It is happening with other sessions too. I have put in a support case with Phase One.

I am suffering from this with a completely new copy of CaptureOne 5, after generating the cache file for the first time. Something must be wrong here.

Phase one support said they could not duplicate the problem and that I should reinstall the application. I have not done that yet, it is happening on two computers. I am wondering if it has something to do with the naming of the files. I had it set to Session name/ image name on capture or import. I was wondering it that was affecting it. I had not had the problem when just using image name alone,( which is just a number)
I still need to try reloading the software, but I am not sure that is the problem.

I am on a trial period of C1-5 Pro on a MacPro OS 10.5.8, and I have had the same problem with one of my sessions. If I check the underlying folder in the Library, the images are in proper order, but in the session itself, thumbnails are in random order. Interestingly, in list view, everything is OK.

Like others, I am creating a new session and re-importing all of the images. Hopefully, that will fix the problem for this particular set of images, but it appears that this is a genuine bug in the program that may recur at anytime. Phase One must be aware of the issue by now, and hopefully, they will have a bug fix soon.

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue, worked with a session two days and added images to it from a second shoot.
Had my selection in the 'move to' folder and all thumbnails organised in a coherent order. Then suddenly the application closed, I'm assuming crashed even though no crash report was obvious. When restarting the thumbnail and list order is all scrambled up and I cant get it back to order, no matter date or name view.
Will re import them but a waste of time and frustrating with lost settings and stressful with clients waiting for images... 😐
I cant create a support case as I only own capture one pro, no phase-one backs.
Impressed with the quality of processing but many issues are tempting me to move back to LR...

    Hello,

This has been discussed in another thread (and workaround) here viewtopic.php?f=21&t=8062

We are looking into the causes, but the more support cases we have the better our response will be.

Joakim 2, All P1 users of software and hardware can create a support case. If you do not have P1 hardware, ignore the registered product box, and fill in at least OS, camera body and software along with a title then you can create a case.

Yes. Me too. Please listen up Phase One - this is a nightmare when on a fashion shoot with clients, and this happens - no order works. Very poor show.

Please can you advise if this is getting sorted?

We're listening but as this is a User to User forum if you are trying to reach us directly this isn't the best place. As suggested in this thread and in the related thread please create a support case so we can look into this issue specific to your workflow.

I just had it happen again in a tethered session with my P45+, I am going to go ahead and send it in to the current support case.
