Fixed the problem with Live View. It mysteriously started working this morning. The difference was a fresh camera battery.

Seems to be either something Nikon related or it is so fast, does it does not show up at all (in particular when using an USB 3 connection). Contact support and let them have a look.

Support are the ones that told me the Nikon is not supported with the green ring around the shoot button.
I tried using the camera in high speed continuos mode and while it took 10 seconds to drain the buffer there still was no green progress Ikon?...
Support also told me the battery level does not work with the Nikon and now lens information is missing too.

Don't get me wrong. I am impressed with all the improvements but as always with software updates things get fixed and other things get broken. Happens with most software.

Not to hijack the current conversation ... but, I upgraded to 8.3. Everything went well. However, as usual, all my workspace settings got lost. This seems to happen every time I upgrade. I thought there was a fix but I can't remember it. Too late now, though. I recreated it. It wasn't too hard but I wish I didn't have to do this with every upgrade.

Boris, your last workspace should have been saved as a 8.2 workspace in the Window > Workspace menu.

Or ... create your workspace and save it with a recognizable name. Then, after an update, load it from Window - Workspace.

That should be as convenient as it gets, save for Phase One designing the update process to leave our settings in place.

    Paul and HCS,

Sure enough, you were right! It's all there. 😊 Thanks for the help!

Yes, I wish Capture One would remember the last known workspace setting during an upgrade and switch to it automatically.

Numerous bug fixes, stability work and performance stuff (see full release notes for list).

    Get it here: https://www.phaseone.com/en/Downloads.aspx

Sorry, I must be really thick, but this link does not take me to the full release notes for C1 8.3
Instead I get to a page with Capture One Pro 8 download and numerous links and information from ibooks to capture pilot 1.8 etc. But nowhere do I see "full Release Notes for C1 8.3"

I remember when these notes were included in any download of a new upgrade in a separate folder.

I never jump on the bandwagon of a new release right away anymore. I like to see the release notes to see exactly what's new and does it affect my work flow. Then I'll wait and see if there are any user concerns before I commit to the upgrade.

Anyone else miss the inclusion of the release notes to the download folder, or can someone point me to where these notes are on the link provided.

I did download but only got the icon to drop in the apps folder...No Notes there!!!

On the linked page URL you quoted that was provided to get to the Download page.

Click on the download link for C1 and open the next page, scroll down and there is a grey coloured box at the bottom right hand corner that provides the link to the Documentation downloads including the release notes.

    HTH.

Hello Im a tech from Paris France.

I own multiple C1 licences. We really need this Progression bar to know what picture we are looking at while the photographer is shooting.

I know the USB3 is so fast you dont need to have it but even if its blazing fast like on the IQ250 we need it.

    Thx

    Hi,

Same story here. Tech from London.

We use D800 mostly and even though it might go fast we shoot a lot and I really do need that progress bar
to know when we started shooting and when all the files are in.

    Please put it back!
