New layers in local adjustments

Using C1 Pro 8.1 and Mac OS 10.10.3-

I am attempting to add new layers to my local adjustments tab but I cannot find the plus/minus icons to do so. Has something changed?

Where is the plus/minus layer located? Not visible on my toolbar.

If you go to the local adjustments tab (the one with the paintbrush) you see a number of tools there by default including Local Adjustments, White Balance, Exposure etc. In the first of those on the tab, Local Adjustments, there are + and - buttons at the bottom right of the tool.
