tiffs with smart objects do not show up in catalog?

I can't get certain folders of tiffs to fully show in the catalog. one folder has 13 images - only 5 will show, I'm guessing images with smart objects can not be read by a C1 catalog?

  smart objects are no problem for C1, but C1 nan't read images with alpha channel

  is it worth starting a support case or is this just not going to be possible with C1P?

  I am not sure. This is going to implement any great art. I think it is because the Phase One it just not will.
