Problem with Color Readout tool
Is there a good reason for not fixing this problem?
My workflow is mostly panoramic. I need to adjust colors after I select my photos to build my panoramic. I place a color readout point in one photo and it places color readout points in all selected photos and in places where I do not want them. I am forced to drag the control point over to where I want them instead of being able to click where I want... when I want. The problem compounds itself with each movement by placing another point in all the selected photos. After a few a clicks you don't know where to look or what you're doing.
This is crazy and I spoke to PhaseOne well over a year ago about this.
Please help!

I think you are asking for a new feature.
I have not done anything with panoramics for a long time now and never from within C1 since any tools I have used for real output have had JPG (or TIFF) file input requirements.
I can take a guess at what you trying to do - get the colours to match before you blend to the panoramic file?
I suspect there may be a different approach.
Have you investigated the Normalize tool?
I' not sue it would work for your needs but might do. (If my guess above is correct.)
Failing that I think perhaps you could find a file merge tool that will will deal with both merging and colour matching at the same time.
There are likely some Panorama enthusiasts in the forum who will be along shortly to offer suggestions.

Yes, this is what I would do (normalize tool) if I had some panomarics in mind.
But what I can't understand is the feature which applies a colour readout at the same pixel position on all selected pictures, whatever the "select all variants" is (on/off) 🤓0 -

It's not an image related edit, just a screen overlay display (in effect).
I don't think the concept was ever intended to be used as Bob (the OP) wishes to use it. Indeed from my (admittedly limited) experiences all the detailed colour matching when stitching Panoramas is best left to the stitching software if possible or undertaken after the images have been joined together. But I am no expert on the subject.

Thank U all for your comments.
I need to make my images match in raw. I select all of the images for viewing side by side. I get better results if I do my adjustments before turning it over to software.
If there was a way to disable the current readout from placing points in all the images this would solve this issue. Then I could select areas that I wish to color match.
Also, is there any way U could increase the readout font size. It is very hard to read on the EIZO CG277 at their suggested resoultion?0 -

As mentioned before, have you looked at the Normalize tool?

Hi Grant,
Yes... I have read the Help Files a few times to make sure I got it. I tested Normalize out and it is a Great Tool. However, I still need the ability to select Readout Points for fine tuning my images.
I have once again submitted a request to make the Readout Tool place only one point on one image at a time. Plus... I know you have heard it often... Please make the Readout Tool Font larger so people can read it on a 27" monitor.
Thanks for you help. Best regards,
Bob0
