    Hello

If you are using a P series back you can not do this and you do not want to do this.
The backs are capturing and on the fly making a IIQ L file.
When you shoot tethered the file then will be un-packing the lossless compression. This will result in drastically slower capture rate and computer performance.
We disabled this just so customers do not get a negative experience due to wrong settings and in reality there is no real good reason why you would want the other format. If you have one then I will surely bring it up to our product managers.

I'm a digitech and since 3.7.7 there's no way to get a fast opinion on image quality.
I do understand the reason why PhaseOne disabled the 3.0 option BUT when you shoot fast in IIQL there is no way to check anything on the pixelated previews that come out without ever "focusing".
I would like to have the option to shoot slower and be able to check exposure and focus.

it is true that the decrypt takes long but it is the only option to maintain speed.
What you are refering to will work with H25 and original P25 and there you still have the option to choose 3.0 format.
But if you are using a P+ series back or P21, 30 or 45 it is not when what will happen is you will get retransmission and random errors if you use the 3.0 format.
It is simply not an option.
We are working on a solution for the issue you have at hand. In the 4.0 you can "grab frames" and you can check focus etc while new frames comes in.
I have showed this feature to a few digital techs here in new york and they where super excited. Unfortunately there is still a while until CO4 is released as a PRO version which supports tethered shooting.

I have a P-30 back and using Intel based Mac tower. At around 3 in the afternoon, Capture 3.7.7 crashes. This happens about every day. I have run Disk Warrior and empty the trash frequently. Any ideas? Also, what should my settings be under camera in Capture One? llQ Large Raw, llQ Small Raw, or Raw Compatible 3.0?
    Thanks, Matt
