This is one of the key problem with the 4
Okay, i am a little more happy whit the 4 no than earlier.
As i told in a earlier treads i have struggled real hard to make the 4 work.
The reason that the 4 want work like many of us wanted. is because that there are a some important thing that don't work as it should.
I will try to explain it here.
The first thing i want to do is to check the images, is it a good picture ore not.
Then i want to check the sharpness, is the picture sharp ore not.
In my opines the best way is to place the left hand on the keyboard, with the ring finger on the delete button and the point finger on the arrow down. Then i place the mouse in the right hand, no i am ready for some serious work.
Lets try this on the 4.
Scrolling with the arrow goes nice, delete goes nice, but on the second images i have to hit delete two times. On the next image i cant delete it at all, i have to go to another image first. Then when i try again it works.
This is not good at all, and in the next image i want to move the image a little to find the spot i would like to check the sharpness in. It was not sharp, i hit the delete nothing happens. If i hit the thumbnail first then i can delete it. It looks to me that this must be some kind of bugs here.
And if the pictures are okay, i want to hit the arrow down to check the next images, but it does not work. I must either click on the next thumbnail, or hit the zoom to fit button.
This is the first thing i want to do with my images, so thats why i start with this problem on the 4.
If they can fix this so it works properly, then things would start looking so much better for me and the 4.
I am sorry if my English are bad, i try my best 😊

I have found that the best way to evaluate images is not to use C1 at all, whether 3.xx or V4. I use the light table in Microsoft Expression Media (before that Iview Media Pro) and rate the images accordingly and the ones I pick get moved into a captures sub folder for processing in C1, the ones that don't get picked only get deleted once I am happy that I don't need them or any elements from them. Incidentaly within Expression Media C1 can now be set as a helper application, so once you are ready to process your folder of rated images C1 can now be opened from within Expression Media, which wasn't possible before. For more info on using Expression Media with C1 click on the following link

This is interesting, but i think the best way is to use Capture One.
I have evaluated at least two hundred thousand images with C1 3.7.
And it works perfect, fast and easy, the problem is that the 4 don't let you
work in the same speed when you evaluate images.
So if they fix the things i want, it would be perfect.
I will take a closer look at the MEM program, to see if i have missed something.

After a quick look the program you suggested, it don't seem to have a fast tool to check the images sharpnes, like in the 3.7. That is one of the most important tools in a work flow.
