I have never done this test but it does not suprise me when file arrive Capture One PRO have to look and detect 30 some different file formats from Phase One, Canon, Nikon etc etc while Capture One DB only have to detect Phase One RAW files.

Also I am sure that you can improve your capture rate by going to Preferences -> Camera Setup and set file format to IIQ S.

Thanks for the reply, Ulf. Anyway to improve performance by being able to pre-select camera so SW doesn't have to search?

I tried IIQ S but it didn't seem to make much noticeable difference. Also, what is the difference under \"Camera Setup Preferences\" which is default set at \"Compatible with 3.0\" versus setting to \"IIQ RaW (L OR S)? Shooting with a P20.

Pre-select is not an option because this will interfer with \"hot folder\" capability and not a wise choice when it will rather add confusion instead of clarity.
IIQ is the new lossles compressed file format which will reduce the RAW file size by 50%

Thanks Ulf. I guess my question is What is 3.0? Why is this the default setting? When should I leave it set to 3.0 vs. !!Q L or !!Q S?

2.9 is a Normal RAW file
3.0 is a Normal RAW file with a built in preview (has a .tif extension)
IIQ Large is a lossless compressed RAW file about half the size of a full RAW file.
IIQ Small is a lossy compressed RAW file. About 1/3rd of a full RAW file. File in it self has full quality but might loose details if exposure corrections are done.
