Lens ID tag
Hi all
I'd like to get some more info about exporting to jpeg.
Because no Tamron lenses in the database I'm using PTLens for correcting lens problems when using C1 Pro (Sony) to develope arws.
It seems to me, that C1 Pro deletes some ID tags from exif, specially Lens ID tag. My Tamron 24-70 F/2.8 USM has a code #204 so when lens ID=204 it was taken with Tamron 24-70. But after exporting to jpeg (haven't tried TIFF) this tag gets deleted from exif. I don't know why, LR does not do this.
I'd like to know what experts say about this problem, maybe only I have this kind of troubles, maybe more of us...
Why is C1 Pro (SOny) deleting the lens id tag, it should stay there for other programs.

Ok, so you are adding lens tag to ARW. Correct?
As I understand the problem that you are edditing RAW file, and that causing problem.0 -
he exports JPG/TIFF from C1 and feeds it to PTLens... PTLens can't find tag with lens model info inside what C1 exported (.tiff/.jpg)... that is what I understand from his posting... 0 -
