Auto EC in PO 4.1 vs. 3.7.8
Running though a large volume of RAW-files in 4.1 I noticed when using auto EC it applied ~+0.4. Processing the very same file in 3.7.8 the auto value would be 0 or even a small negative value. Comparing the two programs it seems 4.1 do want to tune the picture almost a half stop brighter. Canon DPP do seems to agree more with PO 3.7.8 as for correct exposure.
Is there a meaning behind this??

Yes. It reflects the fact that these things are a matter of judgement, and it is not surprising if different people (or the same people at different times) make different judgements. You are, of course, free to decide which judgements you agree with.
Personally, I'm glad about this. Wouldn't life be boring if there were always a right answer?0 -
Hello
I have seen it to. Often i have to reset it to zero. I often use ctrl-F as a startingpoint.
This apply to my both cameras, 1Dmk2 and 5D

David,
I agree to that 😂 but I was curious as apparently the old C1 v 3.x did agree with Canon RAW-converter, but the new 4.1 does not. I am sure they did not change this just to see what our reaction would be 😕
At first I was worried that I had messed up some settings with-in CaptureOne causing this.
Cheers
