    Hi,

What do you mean by "not everything"? Are pictures actually missing or are the counts next to the folders different from Lightroom?

    Hi,

I switched from Lightroom to Capture One 3 years ago. I imported my Lightroom catalog, and you must know that it takes a long, long time. Not only to import the catalog by itself, which is rather fast, but creating the previews took about one night for my 15,000 pictures at this time.
So, be patient, and, most of all, let Capture One finish the job !!

I am interested in this thread. I am months away but I recently tried and purchase C1 Pro for Sony. I will upgrade to C1 Pro and then import. I have 60k files. Hopefully you can suspend the creating of previews and resume later. I will have to do some research. I am also planning on having a separate and new C1 catalog for the import from LR catalog.

Not to take over the thread but can you suspend the creation of the preview and if so how do you do this after you hit the import from LR Catalog "button"? Thank you

I had this same problem importing my LR6 catalog into C1 10. I have ~20k images in my LR catalog. When my import from LR finished, C1 said I had 7k images.

I found, at least in my case, that it didn't import any of my subfolders (I have sub-folders and sub-sub-folders). I exchanged several emails with support but they weren't able to explain the problem or how to fix it.

I ended up having to add my missing folders manually, then right-click on each folder added and select "Synchronize". This imports -everything- from that disk folder, regardless of whether the images are in the IT catalog or not. Then I went through these folders and removed all the unwanted images from my C1 catalog. Most difficult.

Most of my catalog is made by sub-sub folders, so maybe that is the issue

I can't open a support ticket as I have not bought it yet and I'm not gonna buy it with this issue, I'm kind of stuck at this point 😕

The import was completed, but the pictures count didn't match, adding the pictures manually works but there were too many entire sub-folders which were not imported.

I have also tried it 5 times, so mine is not just a single attempt which didn't worked out

Actually, you can open a support ticket. Phase One are just as happy to receive support requests from users of the trial as they are from those who have already bought the app.

I mean that many many entire folders are missing (and picture count is half of what it should be), adding the pictures manually works but I'm not gonna do it one by one and I will also lose any adjustments being made which is the most important thing.

I tried twice to import from LR catalog during my trial but neither succeeded completely.

I have been in contact with C1 support and in my last email exchange they said it was probably a bug but did not have a workaround to suggest.

You could try exporting one folder and its sub-folders from LR as a catalog and importing just that catalog to see what happens. I might try that with a new C1 catalog wnd see what happens.

Is there a way to optimise or in some way make sure that the LR catalogue is as "clean" as it can be?

If there is have people reporting roblems run the process before using the LR Catalogue import process to load Capture One?
