Auto-Styling non tethered images via monitored folder?
I am using Capture One to run 3-4 hour photobooth-like sessions at events. We shoot between 600 - 3000 photos during that time period and I've found that tethering through Capture One crashes consistently around 500-600 photos. The problems get even worse when I try to throw printing in the mix. My workaround has been to tether my Canons with EOS Utility and have Capture One monitor the folder. This has worked GREAT! My tether is fast, consistent, and reliable. If Capture One does crash I can reboot the program without interrupting the shooting. By monitoring the EOS Utility folder I am able to run Capture Pilot on multiple iPads and print without over stressing the program.
The down side of this setup is that I haven't been able to find a way to auto-style my images. It is critical to be able to style images as they enter the system so they are toned instantly on the iPads via Capture Pilot. Guests are watching the shoot in real time and I feel so limited if I have to show raw images or batch process while I'm trying to print and entertain. Does anyone know of any solutions for toning images in a monitored folder?

I am afraid I can not come up with a solution either. The hot folder feature of Capture One is great, like you explained, but has currently no additional enhancements like auto-apply presets or styles.
Regarding stressing the program, are you aware that Capture Pilot is 'just a viewer' that runs entirely on Capture One. Talking about iPads (plural), that is additional workload on the program. Just that you are aware.
By the way: during your 3-4 hour event shoot is there any chance you can do either or both a restart and/or make a new session/new capture folder in Capture One to offload the program and prevent it from crashing?0
