thumbail border outline!

Please please please bring back the big, user-specified color border of 3.7.9. I have had enough of this Lightroom knock-off UI and the absolutely useless thin white border on selected thumbnails. There is no reason for this. It is tremendously difficult to see, it is hard to see the primary image selected in the thumbnail panel and in a quick glance when working quickly under pressure its so hard to see what images are selected and which are not. Every art director who has worked in 3.7.9 comments how much they hate these UI changes in V4-V6. They wonder why we techs and photographers put up with it. If there is a reason why Phase One will not go back to the big thumbs I would really like to know why. This is a serious workflow issue to me and I imagine to many other pro customers. This is much more important than new features.

    Good point. Don't forget to file a feature request in a support case to be sure. After all, it's still a user forum only.

    Prefered the coloured border and processed icons (although it is possible to change the colour of the process icon manually) from V3............

    Support case was made at the same time as my rant - the response was we will put it into feature requests, etc. I have requested this a long time ago probably when V4 was released and it still the way it is so I'm not hopeful we're going to see any improvement on this. I strongly recommend Phase One reconsider their priorities on workflow fixes like this - when clients are telling us they would much rather work in Bridge. We only stay with capture one b/c of the file quality - which I'm thinking matters less these days as every file is retouched anyway and most retouchers would rather have a flat file to work with. I'm on set everyday and I hear these complaints all of the time - that's some feedback if you ask me.

    On a slightly similar subject regarding thumbnail view (I am using 3.7.9):

    I can't figure out how to configure my thumbnail view to include the chosen image and the thumbnails in the same window. My view was like this originally, but now something has happened and and my thumbnails are in the thumbnail preview view but they flow to the right off the viewable page and I have to scroll to see them. And to work on the selected image - it shows up in a popup window. I've looked through all the preferences, etc., read through help; can't find anything....

    John, if you use Capture One 3.x, please post in the forum dedicated to that version. It will serve you better and will not confuse other users at this forum. You can find that forum from the board index or here:

    yes please - we've been cursing at the THIN white line since the beginning.
    It has always been too discreet - sometimes we need things in bold! (like 3.7)
    If they could make it an option to use thin,thick,colour,... would be nice.

    any developments regarding the useless thin white thumbnail border? I truly dislike using C1P at times and this is a big reason. I really want the big borders like it was in V3 and I want to select the color- I don't care if its ugly as long as I can see the selected images quickly. Please do this - this kind of stuff is more important than new unnecessary features.

    i know this is a "user" forum but a few PO people pop in here.
    support case has been made months ago - just very frustrated using this software on a daily basis with issues like this.
