Why so slow to support cameras?
Hi, I have been trying since June 2011 to get Capture One express to support the Sony Alpha 450 DSLR. It was a 12 month old camera in June and every other model around it is supported, even the A550 is supported and that is basically the same camera but with a movable screen - I'm pretty sure the raw files will be identicle.
I sent several support requests and then in August someone asked me to send a raw file which I did, there has actually been two updates since then and it's still not supported.
I can't understand what is 'unusual' about capture one meaning it has to support every camera by name and not Company. Other software appears to support Camera's by make, i.e Canon, Olympus, Sony but Capture One needs eveything listed (even if the raw files are the same).
This is just a real shame. I desperately want to use the software but despite providing all of the information requested evebn after nearly 6 months the Sony is not supported. I can't imagine it would be a big update, just make the A550 entry support the A450 too.

Welcome to the club!
Exactly my point here:
In my opinion development resources to further improve C1 has been dramatically reduced and is now at a minimum.
Not much happens, and demands that can wait for more important IQ-development are more or less ignored.
It seems that Capture One is primarily planned to be an exclusive tool for "the heavy guys" with the heavy budgets. Old customers with simple half or full frame cameras must wait - apparently for months and years - maybe for ever.
Of course it feels like being betrayed and left behind - like a rejected lover.
Fed up too - but still in love ;O)0
