Is catalog system better than session

Is the catalog system better than the session system in terms of reliability and efficiency

Also how do I integrate media pro with the catalog system of CO7?

  Catalog and session each have their purposes and strengths.
  
  A catalog lets you manage larger collection of images as it is controlled through a single database for file locations, adjustments and metadata.
  
  Sessions have the advantage that it is disk folder based, if you need that.
  
  Last, you can combine both session and catalog in your workflow, if that does not complicate matters. Work with sessions (or: a single session) in day-to-day operations and import the final result with adjustments in (one of) your catalog(s).

  You have two options in this kind of 'session-to-catalog' workflow.
  
  First, after you have worked in a session and made adjustments, rating, metadata, and so on, you can simply import the images in your catalog. In the import dialog, just select the folder that contains the images. Be aware to check the "Include Existing Adjustments" box in the import dialog.

  why would I want to do that work on day to day in session then import it to catalog, can't I do that in catalog work on day to day similar to Catalog system of LR?

  In my hands the Catalogs in CaptureOne Pro are very unstable. The Sessions part is however very stable and seems to work perfectly.
  
  
  If you have a large number of photos then a "big boys" cataloguing system is better e.g. iView MediaPro, PhotoSupreme, Extensis Portfolio are the ones I would use but currently I use Adobe Lightroom5 - for cataloguing only!!
