What is "WIC" and why is there an option to disable it?
Also, why does having it (its various DLLs and registry entries) enabled in 6.3.5 crash not only Media Pro, but also Photoshop, when browsing my C1 library?

This issue only existed in 6.2.2 and as long as this was uninstalled you should be fine.
