Using Catalogs - transitioning to Capture One
Hi,
I'm thinking about transitioning to Capture One. Been trying since yesterday evening, it's fantastic wish I did it before.
I come from browsing through my files with Bridge, just the file structure like it is on my drives.
So using Catalogs is quite different. I think I'm starting to like it, but I just noticed something that I don't like.
For every job I have a different folder, within that folders for RAW, processed, psd, final Tiff. I'd like to keep it that way.
So when I now process a raw image in CO, output it to the Processed folder, start working with it in PS, save that psd in the psd folder etc., I don't see these new folders in my Catalog. Do I manually have to import these new folders into my catalog or is there another way?
Regards,
Peter

Yes, you have to manually import the processed images. By the way, CO7 does not support .psd files for import.
If you go for CO Pro 7, you can work with sessions instead of catalogs. Session are entirely disk folder based, and your workflow might look similar to your earlier Bridge workflow. Processed images can be opened just by browsing to their folder.0
