Deleting catalogues in C1 Pro 8
Hi there,
I recently purchased a license of C1 Pro 8 an am still scratching on the surface.
In order to organize my pictures I tried to create new catalogues - but is there a way to delete them ?
And if there is one I wonder if this works without deleting the original pictures.
THX for any input !
Michael

If the images in the catalog are referenced, the catalog can be deleted without any risk using the OS Finder.
If the images are managed the original are inside the catalog, you have first to open the package and save the folder "Originals".0 -

Or, if the images are managed, use File, Export, Originals to save the images first before deleting the catalog from Finder.0 -

Correct, but whenever I need to move (copy an delete) files, in particular between different drives, I feel more safe using the finder as opposed to using the functions which are available in the applications (CO or Lr or anything else).0 -
Thx for your replies...
Yes, it was my first thought as well to delete the catalogues via Finder.
But since doing this could have negative effects (as i.e. deleting the database in Apple Foto App), I was unsure if this would be safe.
