Suggestion for imports

I have noticed that for processing files, there is considerable flexibility in naming the output files. I'd like to suggest similar flexibility in naming files on import. In particular, I'd like to see the shot time an shot dates available for naming on import. Time, especially. Here's why:
Some of us may find ourselves using more than one card, or shooting events with more than one body. When we do this, there's a good chance that we can end up with files with the same names. Being able to timestamp them in the name (right at the front of the name, fore example) can help us two ways. 1) We won'[t have to worry about overwriting older files from the same job that may have the same name, and 2) our shots will be sorted in order, by default.
Anyone else see any value in this?

  As far as I know and understand your post, the requested time and date tokens are already available in the import function. Actually, all tokens available in the output file name are available on import.

  Image time is not an option on the import name list. It IS on the export list, though.

  Just discovered there are serious differences here between the Mac and Windows version. On Mac, the tokens are available as I stated, on Windows it is as Jim mentioned.
  
  This has caused the confusion (I assumed that the software was identical on both platforms).
  
  I suggest you create a feature request in a support case and refer to this thread and the alignment bug (that is that Win & Mac are different).
