I'll admit that I have been anxious for V4 also. But, anything good is worth waiting for. I'd rather have things done right in the first place, than have it loaded with bugs. The new Quad processors have hit the streets and I hope that C1 supports them.
I argue that Phase One has not been supportive, they have always helped me, and I have always had an answer back within 12-24 hours. Thats far better than anyone else I have dealt with.
I shoot typically 1,000 images per day, 4-5 days a week. Capture One has the best work flow of any program I have ever used and it's all on one screen. I know where I am at a glance. If I had to use anything else, I'd be screwed.
It must be difficult writing software for every camera made, and with new ones coming out every few months, it's probably a nightmare.
I'll wait, and I'll be patient because I trust Phase One. My business depends on it!0 -
I agree with Wildman.
I tried Lightroom V1, but it just did not in my view have the quality of rendering I have come to expect of Capture One. C1 is also easy to learn with an excellent workflow.
I think however that PhaseOne can be criticised for not being more customer friendly in their announcements, or lack of them.

As Phase One does not yet have a beta or release candidate ready for Capture One 4.0, it would in our opinion be foolish to provide any information in regards to the final release.
Please follow our web site closely in regards to all news on Capture One 4.0: http://www.phaseone.com/Global/Campaign ... eOne4.aspx0 -
That web site is relatively static, and has no change indicator (change bars or the like). It would be much easier to follow if updates were posted in a forum such as this one.
