Keywords and ongoing problems

Hello @all ,

since yesterday I am trying to delete 'keywords' ... I learned now this is a big problem since years and not will included in C1, but why? Why you can import everything as a old Lr user, but you can't take really control over it?

Even a simple delete would help!

So far I find this:

First, you must make sure that the wrong keywords are assigned to any photo.
Then you need to exit C1, remove ~/Library/Caches/com.phaseone*
Ans as last you need to manually edit ~/Library/Preferences/com.phaseone.captureone8.plist and remove all wrong keywords. Do you have to be careful but that is not a textfile - you need plisteditor

It is so, because the keywords are not in the database ☹️

Any other help on this? Will there a better keyword management in some of the next updates?

  There are other editors that will edit the PLIST file, I use Textwrangler, which used to be free, possibly still is.
  
  Can't help on COP feature content (I agree such a feature is needed).

  Agreed; keywording in general - and C1's present inability to delete keywords at all in particular - is a major weakness.
  
  I'm new to this software; but have to believe that Phase One is working on it…

  Thanks for feedback - yes and the PhaseOne developers hopefully work on it to make this a little more productive 😊
