In the free space on the Batch tab, right click and select Batch.
Now you now it too: all tool tabs are fully customizable. Add and remove tool applets, move them around in a different order, drag them to another place on your screen as floating applets, collect floating applets, create your own tool tabs.0 -
right click under Batch doesn't appear anything.....
see the photo atachedhttp://www2.quentinphotography.com/temp/screen.jpg0 -
You can get the tabs in their original position and configuration (along with reset of other user configuration) by deleting the USER.CONFIG file. Close CO4, delete the file, start CO4. You find the file here: C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Phase_One\CaptureOne.exe_Url_yo1dlcbywehmlnrzeve3k34524ihyovw\4.5.23226.0
The last two folder names may be a little different based on the build you are using. Note also that when you updated the application, more such folders exist. Use the one according to the build (\4.5.23226.0) you are using.
Of course you might loose some other configuration settings (but no image data or adjustments). Therefore I suggest to check whether you can or cannot alter the tool tab configurations because this might hide potentially another problem in your configuration.
Last but not least, I have to make a minor correction on an earlier statement. It appears that with CO4.5Pro/Win currently can not create additional tool tabs (I am used to the Mac version which has this feature: minor differences between platforms still appear).0 -
thanks.
but it didn't help, i also tried to uninstall the software and install it again, but no change...
i don't understand why, but if you can find "close", why can't find "open"..0 -

I am puzzled. Are you sure you deleted the correct USER.CONFIG? (multiple exist if you had multiple versions of CO4 installed).
You can also delete the parent C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Phase_One folder to be sure.0 -
actually i didn't try your method, since i can't visit Documents and Settings folder, it refused me to open it, i'm using vista x64... 0 -
finally it works, i deleted the 2 folders:
CaptureOne.exe_Url_vuukqflebrsej3mkkzkytll1wxkbi3qe
CaptureOne.exe_Url_gux13vnmgvuqtat2ja3h25der4qgpi23
from the folder
C:\Users"user name"\AppData\Local\Phase_One
thanks so much!!!!!0 -
Good to hear about your positive result. Was not aware of Vista, which uses a different path (not C:\Documents and Settings like Win2000 and WinXP but C:\Users). Maybe you had WinXP in the past on that machine. It proofs that it makes sense to provide details like operating system and version of Capture One. Are you using 4.5.1 already? Still curious whether you are able to open a (accidentally) closed tool applet. 0 -
i'm using 4.5.1 on vista x64, can't find a way to open a closed tab, that's the reason i ask here, maybe next version can fix this bug 0 -

Don't think this is a PhaseOne bug...at least with the identical configuration...I deleted the batch tab as you did by clicking close.....However, by right clicking in the area where the tab belongs (where your typing is in your illustration)...I bring up a list of tools, and easily select batch from that. I did this just to check.
I don't know IF I put the tool on another tab if it would function this way....I'm not going to try that...<g>..as I really don't want to goof my system.
OR if you need some permissions in Vista to rest the tool. I doubt that...I suspect you are right clicking on the Batch Icon in orange rather than the area that the tool belongs in....hope that works and you confirm wether it does....TIA0 -

The ability to adapt the tool tabs to your needs is a Pro/DB feature which is documented both in the manual as well as in the tutorial videos on the Phase One site (). One of the features is that you can have a tool applet show up on any (predefined) tool tab. Look for example at the Quick tool tab. It is a collection of the tools you also find at the Color and Exposure tool tabs. Another example is the Histogram applet. It shows up on four different tool tabs. More features in the video online.
It is OK if you don't want to play with the programs features. But you will miss some the fun you could benefit from.0 -
Agreed...but I don't ever open the batch tool (except to see about helping quentin...<g>...) myself. Thought I would see what he was describing when his OS/V4 were the same as I'm using flawlessly.
Thanks for your considerable time here, and I'd second your request to list a version, OS and other specifics (quentin posting a screenshot is a great help). As well, it helps to get a return on sugestions that work or don't.
IMHO, this version is less buggy than the potential for EBCAK's, I'm avoiding a lot of those with this forum....0
