Styles, presets as local adjustments

Before I officially ask for the feature, is there a way to use a preset or style in a layer as a local adjustment? Doesn't seem to be but maybe there is a workaround?

Yeah, I'm going to submit a support request. I would really like to be able to apply Skin Effects to skin only.
