My counter that tells me the amt of images I have has disapeared. I've enlarged the viewing area to see it but no go. How can I get the counter back up. Thumbnails are set up to the right.

  You can reset the Workspace to default, this may fix the issue.
  Window>Workspace>Default
  
  If that doesn't do it create a support case and provide a screenshot.
