DB & LE versus PRO
Any reason not to use LE & DB on your computer versus purchasing PRO ?
I rent Phase backs for jobs and could use the DB software that comes from the rental houses. I presume the DB serial numbers can be used on unlimted computers. Then I would use the LE software for jobs with Canon. Rarely use the Canon tethered, mostly just doing the card workflow.
Even tho LE is only a one computer license.. $100 per computer is still much less than $500 for two.
The differences between LE and PRO seem to be minor. The only major one I see is simultaneous processing of multiple file types.

I saw that before posting.
I really don't see any major differences between LE and PRO.
There are differences, but not that much.
Especially if you are able to use DB when you rent a back.0 -
Like everyone said, DB and Pro are pretty much the same.
You saw the diffferences on paper but in real life the main advantages I see are :
- Multiple sessions (allow you to keep your pictures in order, easier to backup)
- Destination profiles (to create TIFF, JPEG in different resolutions and different output folders without the need to recreate them all the time)
- Custom color profile (if you are patient, you can create filters that replace the actual physical filters (cyan, yellow...))
these are 3 of the things that makes Pro/DB a better tool.
I use Pro 99.7% of the time and DB the rest.
A friend of mine bought LE and I gave him a crash course... I was quite lost and looking for my tools.
in the end, the output file will be as cute but the Pro user will have a much more enjoyable time.

Capture One DB and Capture One Pro share the exact same feature set with the exception that Capture One DB will not process files from DSLR files.
When you rent from one of our authorized dealers you should get a Capture One DB Rental Product Key. With it you can load, use and update the software to the latest available version so that you will always have access to the RAWs you made with the rental back.
