MKIII color profile
Hi there,
I've got C1 3.7.7.3122, none of the available color profile suites IMHO on MKIII raw files! May I ask you which is your choise for those files?
Thank you so much, Carlo

Thanks Ulf, I've already seen that topic, but it does not speak of color profile. I was wondering if somebody out there had any good experience with one of the already existing color profile for the MKIII!
Thanks, Carlo0 -
Hi,
Have you tried the MarkIII profile under "Other Profiles?" Please remember that support for the camera is only preliminary at this point and refinements will be made when full support is offered shortly.0 -
No, I haven't tried, because I haven't that profile in the "other profile" menu! Apparently my software is updated but I haven't that one. Any idea on how can I get it?
Thanks, Carlo0 -
I agree with Cocasana. There is no menu option to choose an alternate profile.
I have always felt that C1 was the premier raw developer, particularly for its wonderful detail, color, and noise control. However, since I have received my 1DMIII more than 1 month ago, C1LE has been unuseable. With or without custom white balance, the built in profile currently provided produces muddy brownish results.
This camera is supported by all other raw developer providers and really should have been supported by Phase One by now. Unfortunately, DPP is too clunky a workflow for me, so it appears I will have to use ACR or invest in Lightroom, both of which are much noisier solutions.
It would be a huge help to the professionals relying on this software to have 1DMIII support in a timely manner. I have monitored the threads regarding this topic for sometime, and with all due respect, an adequate response has not been provided by Phase One. Unfortunately, I love the product, but cannot continue to use it.0 -
Carlo,
Go to the Color balance windowpane and click on ICC Profile. Select "Show All" from the list. Then you will see "Other Profiles," in that section Canon 1Ds MarkIII Generic should be the first in the list.
As we have stated before, support for the Mark III will be out in the next version of Capture One. Often camera companies like Canon release new models with little advanced notice so there will always be a time between when the camera is released and when 3rd party developers can produce a support for that product. We work very hard to keep up to date with the latest cameras, however we do not have the same armies of programmers a company like Adobe has to quickly solve these issues. We do not want to claim full support for an important new camera until we are confidant that we are able to provide our customers with the level of quality they are accustomed to with Phase One.0 -
Jon,
Sorry, but the latest downloaded version of C1LE for MAC does not seem to contain a selectable camera of 1DMIII to match up to the 1DMIII profile found in "Other" profiles.0 -
You are correct. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Unfortunatly with LE it appears that best color will not be attained until 3.7.8 (or 4.0 beta) since input profiles need to be set at import through preferences. We should be seeing those soon however. i apologize for the inconvenience to LE users (profiles in pro should work fine, you apply them in color balance), but as we have stated publicly Mark III support is only provisional at the moment, and we do not market Capture One as software for the Mark III (yet). 0
