Applying updates for C1 Pro8

I have been informed, via the system, that there is an update available. 8.1.1. Now, I click the blue highlighted 8.1.1 which is found under the heading "download" only to get taken to the main web site. So tell me what I am missing - what am I supposed to do next? Surely this should be a simple task and carried out with little or no impact on the user.

There is no mention on the web site of "updates" so what am I supposed to be doing. This is not something that a quality product should be like to use.

  PhaseOne does not have an "Update" to CO8, you download and install the entire application each time.

  If you already have a licenced copy, as I assume you do, log in to your account the Phase web site and the process will likely be smoother.
  
  I'm not sure about Macs but with WIndows you can install an update in a "stand alone" folder and, taking note of any updates that have special effects, run it in semi-isolation for testing before committing to using it. I think that's a pretty good idea.

  Many thanks for your replies. All sorted. I never thought for a moment that I would need to "download" the complete application again.
