Rating system compatiblity

Is the C1-4 rating system compatible with the Adobe standard? Or did P1 create an arbitrary rating system only C1-4 will recognize?

  We had an proprietary system on the Mac version which had both rating 1 to 9 or a Red/Yellow/Green. On windows we did not have more then Tagged and Untagged. but have now switched over the more standardized star rating.
  What is missing is full XMP support so this is transparent in all applications to support XMP.
  This is on the list of functions we want to implement.
