Can't select multipe files from older shoot

I am using v 6.4.1 in Windows 7. Today I want to edit some NEF files from a 2010 shoot. I can't select more than one file at a time. Yet if I open a shoot I did yesterday, multiple selection is no problem.

I have gone to the Edit menu and the Edit All Selected Variants looks unchecked, but I can't seem to be able to check that item.

Please help.

  Never mind. It's working now. Don't know what changed.
