Where are the Work files stored?
Where does CaptureOne V6 store the .Work files (CW FILES) on windows 7 64 bit? I appreciate that the file extension has probably changed now
Does these new versions (post 3.7.10) still provide the facility to archive the editing work that you have done to a RAW file?
Is there still a Preview cache?
Can it be cleared?

OK, worked out that the editing work is kept in the .cos file.
Does C1Pro v6 still make a "Preview" file? If so, do they need to be cleared, periodically?
What are the .cop and .cof files for?
Wild guess....is the .cop file, the preview file?0 -

Correct, the .cop file preview file and the .cof is for the focus mask. Both are static after generating and can be discarded if you are done with the images in the parent folder. There is no kind of preview management in CO6.0 -
Thanks Paul.
Then what are .comask files for?0 -
Focus Mask is a CO Pro (and DB) feature and shows the areas in the image that are in focus.

and the .comask files??
Useful youtube videos by the way (at least they would be if the program actually worked)0 -
Oh yes, the .comask file, I forgot. It is stored in the Settings50 folder and was introduced with CO6. It contains the layer mask and probably the local adjustments for that layer and its mask.
My guess is that it is ignored by CO Express 6 but I have to look into that. Because CO Express has fewer features than Pro/DB, one must find a way to handle Pro-made adjustments (in case you transfer an image with adjustments from a Pro to an Express system). Options are handle it read-only or ignore. Just wild guess, no conclusions.0 -
That's silly that Express generates .cof files if they are for focus mask and not used by express. Too bad they don't auto delete as I have to delete them and .cop files whenever I finish working on a directory. 0
