selectively add/remove keywords to/from multiple images
How can I add/remove (multiple or just one) keyword(s) to/from multiple images at once? Please not that all images already have some other keywords that I want to leave unchanged.

I hope that someone is going to tell me that I am hopelessly wrong, but the only way I have found add a single keyword to a set of images that have existing and differing keywords is:
1. open the "Filters" tool panel (by default this is setup under the Library tab).
2. select the collection with the photographs to apply the keywords to. The "filters" tab should now show the list of keywords used in the collection.
3. make sure that at least one photograph in the collection has the keyword that you wan addt, so that it shows up in the list.
4. drag the photographs that you want to apply the keyword to from the browser to the keyword in the filters panel.
I think that another possibility is to create keyword presets, and apply those (making sure that preset stacking is enabled, so that the results are cumulative). I have not tried that, although even if it works it is impractical if you make many simple edits.
I have no idea how to remove a single keyword from multiple images, short of editing them individually.
To me, as a long time Lightroom user, this seems improbably ridiculous (ie that you need to use a tool for filtering the displayed images to add individual keywords, while the keyword editor tool can not do this). There *must* be a better way, and I would love to know what it is!0 -
As far as I can see, using the approach you described (by dragging the images onto the desired keyword in the "filter" dialog), I will have to to do it one by one for each keyword. It doesn't work for multiple keywords, correct? 0 -

It will work for multiple keywords if they can be set up as hierarchical.
Selecting a level in the hierarchy will apply that word and all above it. (Or at least it will using Windows so I guess it probably does using a Mac.)
HTH.

As I recall it is not possible to stack keyword presets.
The multiple drag of a selection, once per word, is not so bad once you get used to it. It is highly efficient when adding keywords to entire selections. Less so for single images - but then maybe one can simply add them in a direct entry to the image?
Removal is, currently, a bit challenged.
