Crop - keeps showing inches not pixels

It may have to do with the settings you have in your Process Recipe under Scale.

Thanks for that idea, though I can't see where I would change that. My process recipe says

    Format JPG

    Quality 85

    ICC Profile sRGB Profile

    Resolution 300 px/in

    Scale Fixed

    100%

Sorry, the options shown vary depending on which Scale is chosen. Using "px/in" gives me pixels during crops, so this doesn't help you. Changing this setting with other scales will display different units on my system.

When I crop an image, I'd like to see the dimensions displayed in pixels, but C1 seems to show me them in inches. I can go to the Composition tab and change it to pixels, but that setting doesn't seem to stick beyond that session. (Now using C1 v6 Pro for Mac. I don't seem to recall this being a problem when I was previously using C1 v5 Pro for Windows.)

I use CO Pro 6.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.7. Once I set the crop tool to pixels, and next create a new session, that session works with pixels too. When I change it again (to inches) opening an old session works in inches too.

Put differently, it seems the crop dimensions (mm, in, px) are program based (stored in preference file probably) and not in the session. If you have problems to have it stick, delete your preference files.

Thanks, Paul. Yes I am using OS X 10.6.7 too. I've just opened C1 and it's gone back to inches again. How do I delete the preference files as suggested?

    Ian,
To delete the Capture One preference files: close the application and go to ~/Library/Preferences. Look for com.phaseone.captureone.plist and com.phaseone.captureone.LSSharedFileList.plist. Delete both files and start CO 6 again.

Thanks. I'm trying that and I'll see how it goes.
