It sounds as you catalog database is not consistent after the move.

From File menu, do a Verifiy on your catalog.

    Hi Paul,

thanks for your reply! I did a verify and indeed it showed me errors. After "repair" my folder new was totally empty (inside of C1).

Since I tried somethings myself I think I screwed it up entirly ☹️

But why is C1 not able to do a proper "move" - I did this because this was the recommendation in one of the videos. From LR I was used to do "bigger" moves of files from the OS since LR often messed up during such operations. Doing it on OS level and then using a "relocate" worked better. So C1 is not more stable in this regard like LR?

Hopfully I can get my backup of the catalog to work, otherwise the work is lost ☹️

Ok, the backup worked - after moving the files back to original location and using my last backup prior to the move I got my pictures back again 😄

But now I am a little bit scared to try it again.

Since I noted others odd things, e.g. when I use the filter dialog and change the 0..6 rating: The browser correctly removes pictures from the preview when the filter was set e.g. to rating 0 and I change the rating of a picture from 0 to 5. But the count in the filter dialogs remains the same. So when I remove all 0 settings it shows me still 5 pictures have this rating (which is not true). And when I click on the rating element "0" it the browser tells me exactly the same: No pictures for this rating. Only after a restart of C1 the counters are set correctly.

Is C1 Version 12 still buggy?

There are undeniably some bugs in CO12 that were not in CO11. The move issue is something that could have happened anyway.

My advice to users is to always verify the catalog database before doing significant imports, moves and deletions. Next, make a backup of the database (Capture One backup). And of you go. Last, end with another verification of the database.
