Sky Color... Blue, Bluer......

Wondering if anyone has a method, trick to adjust the color of a blue sky so it looks natural?
Sometimes I can nail it, other times it looks too "thin" or too dark...
Hoping someone has insights to share. May be a simple process, or good old fashioned adjust to taste solution.

  First tool: white balance, but you've been there already.
  Second tool: color editor; pick the color and enhance.
