Capture One Pro 3.7.7 - dim question about cropping RAW

I am new to this so forgive me!

Dim question No 1 - how do you crop. I can make a box using my mouse and then I press "Apply" and nothing happens. If I drag and drop the picture onto my desktop, none of my cropping is visible. If I press "Process", none of my cropping occurs. So how do you crop?

Is it me? What am I doing wrong?

  Frances - I mean this in the nicest way: Have you read the manual on how to use the software? If you have and are confused, just reply and I'll be happy to help. But the forums are more intended for "stumped" things, rather than explaining things that are covered in the literature. Again - I mean no offense; just checking.
