Fujifilm X-Pro1 Support
I've heard rumors (and seen a few comments over in the Mac side of the forum) that we might soon get support for the X-Pro1's X-Trans CMOS sensor's RAF data.
I for one couldn't be happier and for me it can't come soon enough. The only camera I shoot anymore is an X-Pro1, and I bought Capture One Pro 6 (and then upgraded to 7) on the mere hope that some day it would work with my camera.
(I know, that seems foolish - perhaps it was. I bought CP6 it when I was shooting a 20D but the X-Pro1 was on order. I was delighted with it and when my X-Pro1 finally arrived I was addicted. Couldn't go back to the Canon. But I've been stuck in JPG mode for so long I've got withdrawal symptoms. 😉)
Anyone heard any date rumors? 😄

I have red Fuji will be supported, not sure if that said X Pro 1 too, anyway X-E1 was ment which should logically mean both. And they said it is coming soon. I am also waiting for it ? Jouni 0 -
I believe they use the same sensor (the X-Trans CMOS) which should mean the RAF files are (nearly) identical, or at least match in all the ways that matter.
The responses I'm alluding to can be seen here:

Lionel12 is certainly getting my hopes up for a Merry Christmas! =D0 -
I see we have red same information, my guess is, we will get it before Christmas, jouni 0 -
Here's a little update.
I was trying to 'work around' the lack of compatibility by converting the RAF files to Adobe Digital Negative (DNG). It wasn't working (CP7 wouldn't acknowledge the DNG files), so I wrote this ticket:I'm having trouble with DNG compatibility in 7.0 and 7.0.1. I shoot primarily with a Fuji X-Pro1.
I'm painfully aware that the RAF format for the X-Trans CMOS isn't yet readable by Capture One Pro, however I got to thinking that since Adobe can read it, I could just use the Adobe DNG Converter to convert the RAF to DNG and then COP should be able to open it just fine...
And yet, I've had no luck getting 7.0 or 7.0.1 to recognize these DNG files either.
Does Capture One Pro 7 work with DNG anymore?
Phase One (Customer Support DK) replied:
We are working on this and will have a compatible version out very soon.
The DNG files which you convert for this camera is becomes linear DNGs which we do not support, we only support true RAW DNGs
So, there's yet more confirmation. (I interpret 'this' to mean X-Pro1 compatibility). And 'very soon' sounds very promising indeed!0 -
Hi to all,
Same here, I'm fence sitting at the moment but will purchase Capture One the minute it supports the fuji.

Thanks for posting your response from the support team.
I'm seriously hoping C1 7 will begin to support Pentax "out of camera" and thus "true RAW" DNGs soon as otherwise there is little point me upgrading to C1 7. Neither C1 6 or 7 currently support the DNG files from Pentax K-01 or K-30 cameras and now that Pentax are shipping cameras that ONLY produce DNG RAW output I would appreciate the support.
I have alternatives but I do prefer C1 as it produces more punchy and accurate output with minimal effort (and I seriously like minimal effort!)
