using macOS 10.12.4
Hi,
I just updated to macOS 10.12.4. I do not have any experience with CO 10 so far, but be aware that it is not supported until Phase One says so.
What I experience however is a color managent issue with my calibrated Eizo ColorEdge display.
MacBook Pro with LCD open plus Eizo, calibrated colors work fine on both displays. When I close the lit of the MBP, the colors on the Eizo shift towards blue. Not able to correct that yet with ColorSync by reselecting the proper profile.
Wake up from sleep mode also causes the blue shift.
Workaround: restart or logoff and logon, keep LCD from MBP open (not my favourite option).
Night Shift (for LCD only) is off, but it might be related to that.
Just a first impression. Beware.

Hmm. I would hope that Phase One is actively testing Apple's betas as they are released so that there is little chance of problems with updates. Especially for smaller 10.12.x updates.
And, once Apple does release, that Phase One is able to confirm compatibility within a very short time (hours? two days?).
Or are they not closely tied into Apple's developers program?0 -
Due to last minute changes in Apple's final releases, even after gold masters, real testing for Phase One starts the day of release. 0 -

I understand the need for last minute checks for last minute release changes.
But I still hope that the "real" testing was done on the betas and that the released OS just needs a final review. Especially for a 10.12.x release. A little more care is certainly needed for a 10.x release.
We all want Phase One to be careful, but to be as quick as is prudent. And working closely with Apple during the beta cycles is appropriate.0 -
I have been wondering about 10.12.4. I assume that the "night shift" feature would wreak havoc with photo-editing and I would want to avoid enabling it. Is that what others think?

I agree and have not enabled that option on my iMac.0 -

And have you installed 10.12.4, Bob? If so, any problems (especially with Capture One)?

I have installed it and things seem to be fine. At least I haven't hit any problems.0 -
No problem here either, so far. 0 -
